Getting better, but... - Tony - 03/07/2014
This tank looks great, particularly with the included metal tank fitted (although you then cannot tell how much juice you have left in there). The new coils are smoother than the version they replace and I have experience less dry hits, although I have noticed when used in my Mini Protank III they mean that I can no longer tighten it 'snugly' to my Vision Spinner batteries (this is not a problem with my MVP 2 by the way). The new drip tip is a vast improvement on the one that came with the Mini Protank III. The brushed finish is also better than the shiny finish of the earlier Mini Protanks. The air control ring is sufficiently tight (some video reviews I have watched complained that it was so loose that it moved the moment it was touched), but to be honest, it is far too airy for me in the wide open position - considerably more airy than the static air flow of the earlier Mini Protanks. I find that I am using it in the nearly closed position, but I guess having the choice is a nice thing. What is still irking me about this and all other Kanger pro tanks (of all sizes), is the complete waste of space in the tank caused by the filling mechanism. Kanger will undoubtedly fix this in the forthcoming iterations (released almost weekly now it seems!) but it is so frustrating to fill it up, secure your coil, flip it upright and then watch as your juice seeps down to leave what looks like half the tank empty!
Kanger Aero Tank Mini - Stephen Vince - 28/05/2014
Until now I've used the TW version of the Evod and TW dripper on Ego batteries, so that lets you know what I'm comparing it to. Firstly, God it looks sooooooooo good on an Ego battery. Secondly the airflow control is awesome. Just tried it against the Evod and the draw on the Evod is so tight now and I've never noticed it before and I'm on on mark 2 of the 7 marked increments of the airflow. The more you open it up the weaker the flavour (good if the juice you have is too strong). It is also a looser draw than the dripper. Just changed the drip tip with the TW ones I have and they fit perfect which is more than can be said for the TW ones on their own products, much better build quality. Two things I need to get used to the drip tip is smaller than I'm used to and the airflow hole needs to be positioned in a place where I don't cover it when I hold it to fire the button. These are NOT bad points. Just things I have not had to think about. Vapour production, well it beats the TW Evod hands down. As for the dripper, on a normal draw the Kanger just edges it but so much more of an easier pull. But the TW dripper does make better clouds (it is a dripper and it should) when I go about making clouds for my own entertainment. So in short it looks better, it draws better, produces better clouds. Leaves one question. Why are you still on an Evod??????
